Amazon numbers are down once again. It seems like this constant up and down with Amazon. Are there ways to make great money with Amazon still? Let’s talk about it.

So today let’s talk about this Amazon thing. Right now and for the past couple of months, Amazon numbers have been down once again. And it seems like a yo-yo with Amazon influencer money as a whole.
Amazon influencer is skyrocketing high. Amazon influencer money is through the floor. Amazon money is back.
Amazon influencer money is gone again. You never know from day to day what it’s going to be. Well first, let’s tackle the current down cycle.
It’s not a conspiracy and it’s not a problem. Because it’s a down economy right now, retail in general is down. I hear a lot of people talk about Amazon throttling our numbers.
Now there may be a layer of truth to this, but what I would venture to guess that throttling effect really is, if it’s existing at all, is Amazon is sharing views across a broad spectrum of influencers just like you. So they’re trying to spread the views out a little bit. That may be a little bit of what’s going on.
But overall, since sales are down, shoppers are down, views, clicks, and sales are going to be down. And it’s not just on Amazon. So we can draw a very good conclusion that sales are just down, it’s not Amazon.
Because if we look at any retail industry right now, any retail market, any retailer in general, we see that their sales are down about the same amount that we’re down on receiving money from our Amazon Influencer program. But we don’t need to just accept that things are down and there’s no money to be had. Because there is a ton of money still to be had.
We just need to find a few avenues within Amazon Influencer where we can capture a few more dollars. So let’s talk about a few ways that we can do it. Actually, there are three major ways that we can make great money with Amazon Influencer.
The first and most obvious is posting shoppable videos. Shoppable videos earn you commissions, and that is the easiest way and the most obvious way that we make money with the Amazon Influencer program. Now, if you adjust what you’re reviewing a little bit and aim for higher ticket items with a low amount of existing reviews, you will most likely see your Influencer money trickle higher or edge higher or trend higher.
Trend higher is probably the better word to use here. So way number one is the obvious. It’s posting Amazon shoppable videos to our Amazon Influencer account and being the Amazon Influencer that we are.
Way number two that you’ve probably heard a bunch about is posting these videos to other social media avenues such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, whatever the case may be, posting videos there with affiliate links to Amazon to purchase the product. Now, when you do this, you know that as an Amazon Influencer, you have the on Amazon store ID and you have the off Amazon store ID. Well, when you post off of Amazon to any social media market in general or any place in general, you are going to use your offsite ID and within there you can generate your own links to your product so that you get a commission as an affiliate, not as an Influencer.
Now, this is called affiliate money, so you will make affiliate money. Now, when you do that, I strongly suggest using deep linking. The reason why you would use deep linking here is because a lot of times when people are on social media platforms or any platforms, it’s roughly 75 to 90 percent of people are now essentially viewing all of this on their mobile devices, but when you click through one of those links on your mobile device, it will open a web browser of some sort and that’s often not associated with a person’s Amazon account, so you end up closing that screen and going into their Amazon app or other avenue to purchase the product that they were just looking at and then you lose all of your commissions.
With deep linking, it tracks through and it will open the app or open the appropriate service within the platform where they are and for the appropriate country that they’re in, helping you retain that affiliate money and not lose it. I recently started using Geniuslink. I will leave a link in the description for Geniuslink so you can take a look at it.
I recently started using Geniuslink and I saw my affiliate commissions go up about 50 to 70 percent month over month, so that’s really impressive that using deep linking has really helped me out that much retain or make back some affiliate money that I was losing before, 50 to 70 percent more than what I was getting before. Another kind of cool thing about Geniuslink is you can sign up for multiple affiliate programs through different retailers and create choices for people to purchase whether they want to buy from Amazon or Best Buy or Books A Million or whatever the case may be. By giving people choices, it actually increases again their likelihood of making a purchase through one of your affiliate options and helping you make more money.
I strongly suggest using Avenue 2 as well, which is affiliate linking using other social media platforms. You can also start a blog where you highlight niche markets that you’re in. Maybe you are really into camera gear, so you could have a blog about camera gear, talking about your camera gear, different camera gear, different lighting, different things, and using links to the products that you suggest people use.
That is a great way to make affiliate money. You can also categorize your videos the same way in a blog format where people can follow you because you are an authority on that subject. Whether it’s camera gear, biking, outdoors in general, camping, sewing, I don’t know, whatever it may be, you can create a lot of content around your niche and include affiliate links and make great money with that.
Now let’s get on to way number three. I know I’m covering these quickly, so let me highlight real quickly that down in the description there is a link where you can schedule time to chat with me. I will gladly go over any of these with you at any time because my goal is to help you find your income streams that work for you and help you figure this stuff out.
Sometimes it’s hard to figure it out, sometimes it’s less obvious, so I’m here to help you in any way that I can. All right, so way number three that you can make money is charge sellers money to make Amazon Influencer videos. Now if you’ve posted a good amount of Amazon Influencer videos to your storefront, you have people who are sellers reaching out to you wanting you to review their product.
Many of them try and use the line of I will send you a free gifted product or a free product in return for a review video, and at first that sounds exciting to get a free product, so we agree to do it. Well they just got a video for free. Normally they’d have to pay somebody to produce a video, and most of the time the product that they’re asking you to review isn’t something you were shopping for anyway, so does it really bring you any value? And some of these products don’t necessarily earn great commissions, so you put in your time and effort to help them out and make a video for them and allow them to not pay for it.
Don’t do that. Respond back to all of them and let them know, yes I will gladly make a review video for you, but I charge a fee of $100 to make a review video. I do this over and over and over again.
Now when I first started charging people for review videos, I was worried that I was going to lose all the free stuff I was getting, and there was a slump period. It wasn’t long, it was only a couple weeks where it seemed like people reaching out to me slumped or rejected paying, but then I came up out of the slump and the first thing I noticed is everybody started asking for a deal or a better deal, to which at first I started to negotiate a little bit with them, and then I decided to stop negotiating and I would respond back with, no I offered you a fair price. Well then I started raising my price because people started coming and coming and coming and I started getting more sellers reaching out to me than I had ever had even when I was doing free videos.
So I started getting too busy doing this, so I started raising prices and now I charge significantly more to do review videos. And so when somebody reaches out to me and asks me to do a review video, I respond back, I’ll gladly do a review amazon shoppable video, don’t call it a review video because it’s not, it’s an amazon shoppable video, I will gladly do an amazon shoppable video for you for $100. If they reply back I can’t afford that, I just simply reply back, well if your budget changes let me know I’d be happy to work with you, and I move on, no big deal.
Besides there’s plenty of people who are willing to pay. So now I’m at the point where again it’s like I need to raise my prices again because I mean it’s non-stop. There’s tons of products showing up that I’m not buying and these sellers are paying me very good money to review those products.
Right now my amazon money is about a quarter of the money that I’m making and what I’m selling, what I’m charging sellers to make these videos is about three quarters of the money. So I’m 75% higher on money directly from sellers than I am from my amazon influencer money. I mean we are in thousands of dollars here and that is huge.
You can make great money, you just have to stick to your guns and say no I charge money to make these videos. Another thing that I seem to have discovered and I can’t confirm a hundred percent that I’m right here, but I can share with you what I’ve experienced is these sellers are sharing information between each other because I’ve had some sellers reach out to me and tell me specifically they’d like me to help them out the same way I helped somebody else out. Some of them have reached out to me and asked about my pricing because I had done this pricing for somebody else or in the past for somebody else and they’ve discovered I have new pricing now.
And then other sellers reach out to me and tell me straight up they were they were referred by somebody. So if you keep making great videos people are going to know about you because they’re going to refer you but they’re also going to let them know what you charge. So if you’re somebody who does it for free all the time you’re going going to be known as free and you’re going to get a little bit of pushback when you stop offering free.
But then you’re going to start getting referred as somebody who charges money and again as you raise your rates that information is going to travel along. And as you raise your rates you start getting better and better vendors or sellers to work with. So guys there are three awesome ways that you can really take advantage of making great money with the Influencer program.
Even though Amazon dollars may be down right now there are two more avenues where you can add more income to your bucket. So you can make money clearly as an Amazon Influencer with Amazon shoppable videos. You can make money posting these videos to other avenues with affiliate links and you can charge people money to make videos for them when they reach out to you.
So this program is still a fantastic program. I still recommend that if you’re looking for a great hustle and don’t mind making a few videos to go ahead and do it because you can make great money helping Amazon shoppers find the products that they’re looking for. So not only do you get to enjoy the process of making videos of great products you also get to help Amazon shoppers find the great products that they’re looking for and have better knowledge about the product that they’re looking to purchase.
